Queenstown airport CEO - our next focus is Wanaka
In a video interview with Crux, airport CEO Colin Keel has outlined his next steps after today's decision to freeze Queenstown airport growth - with Wanaka at the top of the list.
Mr Keel also concedes that Dunedin and Invercargill might be part of a future airport mix for the region, but he believes a balance can be struck in Wanaka between community concerns and airport expansion.
Proposals from Air New Zealand to build a new Central Otago airport don't appear to be taken as a serious proposition by Mr Keel.
