Easter Sunday death at popular Queenstown bike park
A person has died at a popular mountain biking park in Queenstown.
Police were called to the Queenstown Bike Park just after 11am.
Police say the death is not considered to be suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.
A rescue helicopter, and fire and ambulance crews were also in attendance.
Downhill trails criss-cross the public reserve, with most riders accessing the park via the Skyline Gondola.
Today's incident comes just weeks after Queenstown mountain biker Bel Strano suffered serious injuries at the park after hitting a fallen tree.
