Woman dead after assault in west Auckland

A homicide investigation has been launched after a woman was fatally assaulted in west Auckland this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 8.30am.
Emergency services were called to Westgate Drive in Massey just after 8.30am.
Police said they took a man into custody nearby and aren't looking for anyone else.
They said multiple cordons are in place on Westgate Drive and will be for some time.
