PM: Auckland goes to level 1 on Wednesday
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has confirmed Auckland will move to alert level 1 this week.
Ardern says all signs point to the Auckland cluster being under control.
She says there is now a 95 percent probability of the cluster being eliminated, according to research.
Only one person still has the virus and Ardern says she is confident that case has been contained.
"I know for many, this one has felt harder, especially for Aucklanders."
Ardern says at alert level 3, Treasury estimated the local economy was operating at 80-85 percent.
It has been nine days since the last reported community case and health experts are expecting Auckland's Covid-19 alert level to move down.
Covid-19 modeller Shaun Hendy said his data shows a 95 percent chance we've eliminated the August Auckland cluster from the community.
Epidemiologist Michael Baker agreed there is a high likelihood the virus has been eliminated.
