One person is still missing after a jetboat overturned on the Taramakau River on the West Coast yesterday.

Four jetboats with surf rescue personnel, and four ground crews are searching the area, between the Taramakau Bridge and Kumara-Inchbonnie Road, police said.

A second person who was on board the jetboat was treated by an ambulance yesterday afternoon.
