Invercargill high school student stabbed in neck with scissors
A 14-year-old student is in custody following a stabbing incident at Southland Boys' High School.
Another student was stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors shortly before 2pm yesterday.
Police said the student's injuries were not life-threatening and he was recovering in hospital.
The 14-year-old appeared in Invercargill Youth Court this morning charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police said inquiries were ongoing into the matter.
