Serious accident closes Haast road at Makarora

Emergency services are attending a serious road accident in Makarora township and police say the road is closed.

The accident, involving two cars, has resulted in two people receiving moderate injuries and two people minor injuries.

The accident happened at the intersection of Rata Road and SH6 in Makarora.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
