Partly treated effluent from the failing Shotover sewage plant is now lying in a ditch just one metre from the Twin Rivers Trail / Queenstown public bike trail. The sewage is leaking both through the temporary wall that surrounds the Shotover disposal field and also from the water table beneath the field.
