Police and rescue services are on their way to a jet boat crash on the Shotover River.

11.04 am Update: nine people are reported as being flown to Lakes District Hospital - most with minor injuries.

Police and emergency services are enroute to reports of a boat crash on the Shotover River, Skippers Canyon, Queenstown.

Initial reports indicate that there are 10 people on board, and some have injuries.

The crash occurred around 10am.
