Police seek ute connected to Cromwell hit-and-run

Police are asking for help to find a ute connected to a crash in Cromwell on Sunday that put a cyclist in hospital.

The vehicle is described as a blue Ford Ranger, double cabbed with alloy bull bars. 

Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a blue Ford Ranger in relation to a crash in Cromwell on the Sunday, January 23. The driver left the scene before Police attended

It was last seen driving down the Luggate to Cromwell road on Sunday morning (January 23).

Police want anyone with information that could lead to the location of the vehicle to phone 105 and quote case number 220123/5266. 

Information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A police media spokesperson says police were advised of a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist on the corner of Shortcut and Partridge Roads at approximately 7.45am on Sunday.

The driver had left the scene by the time police arrived.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since returned home and is expected to make a full recovery.
