The Cromwell Ward will be represented by Cheryl Laws (2050), Sarah Browne (2021), Charlie Sanders (1602) and Bob Scott (1486).

Stu Duncan was elected in the Maniototo Ward with 580 votes and Curtis Pannett in the Teviot Valley ward with 698 votes.

Official results have the elected members representing Vincent Ward as Tracy Paterson (2445), Martin McPherson (1889), Nathan McLean (1826) and Dave McKenzie (1608). However McKenzie has already resigned following controversy which will prompt a byelection for the seat.

Anna Harrison (1987), Rebecca Anderson (1779), Wally Sanford (1649) and Mike Casey (1606) will sit on the Cromwell Community Board.

The voter return was 55.08 per cent, being 9939 votes.

Alley said it was an honour to continue serving the district.

“I’m humbled by the trust our community has placed in me,” Alley said. “This Council represents the people of Central Otago, and we will continue delivering transparent leadership, meaningful action and decisions that reflect what matters most to our communities.”

Chief Executive Peter Kelly congratulated successful candidates.

"We’re looking forward to working alongside the Mayor and Councillors to deliver on their intent to support and enable a safe, healthy and thriving community and environment,” Kelly said.
