Win a Bush Creek Ice rink beanie with Crux

Jul 15, 2024

Would you like to rep Arrowtown's very special community ice rink with your very own Bush Creek beanie? Well, there's a chance you could win one this week.

Crux is celebrating the hard work of the Bush Creek Ice volunteers to give away their merch to one member of the community.

All you need to do is send an email to the editor's inbox ([email protected]) detailing in two sentences or less what you find special about the Bush Creek Ice Skating Rink.

Entries close this Wednesday, July 17 at 6pm, and the winner will be selected and announced on Thursday.

One side of the beanie says "Bush Creek Ice" and the other says "Arrowtown" in a striking green, red and white.

Bush Creek Ice Rink is a free, community facility for all to skate on. It's and is completely volunteer-run, funded out of volunteers pockets as well as donations.

The old rink has been resurrected by a group of volunteers who have given up a lot of their own time in the past four years to get it back up and running.

It opened last Winter for the first time since the 1980s, and has just opened up again this year.

If you're itching to get some merch and don't want to leave it up to chance, the beanie's are also available for $30 by messaging the Bush Creek Ice Facebook page to purchase.

The sales go towards funding the rink.
