Wānaka's Nico Porteous takes Olympic Gold
Nico Porteous won New Zealand's second ever Winter Olympic Gold medal this afternoon after a spectacular first of three runs.
Nico's younger brother Miguel came in 11th place with a score of 63.50.
Nico's winning run earned him 93.00 but he more or less abandoned his second run in difficult cold and windy conditions in China.
Nico fell on the third and final run, but he was unhurt.
