Serious incident on SH6 in Central Otago

Emergency services are at a two-vehicle crash on Gibbston Highway which may result in delays.

A police spokesperson said police were called to the crash near Waitiri Rd around 12pm. There were reports of injuries.

NZTA says the serious incident on State Highway 6 at Central Otago’s Kawarau Gorge may result in delays.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, near Roaring Meg, between Gibbston and Cromwell. A road closure may be required, and people are asked to avoid the area if they can, or to follow the directions given at the site.
