Poll: Lewers, Ferguson, Guy and Cocks at risk
In our second Crux local election poll a number of current councillors, as well as Mayor Glyn Lewers, appear to be at risk of losing their place in the QLDC council chambers after the October 11 vote.
Here we break down the latest poll results from 605 respondents as at midday Monday September 8, compared to our first poll on August 26.
Mayoralty.
Darren Rewi has seen his share of first votes increase from 32% on August 26 to 35% in the latest poll. John Glover has also increased from 29% to 32% - mainly at the expense of Nik Kiddle who has dropped from 28% to 20% after a number of public meetings and debates. Glyn Lewers’ share of the first vote increased from 9% to 12% - but that’s still a distant fourth place in the four candidate race.
