Police confirm two dead in Malaghans Road crash

Police have confirmed that two people have died following a two-vehicle crash on Malaghans Road, Dalefield, Queenstown-Lakes District.

Emergency services were alerted about 10pm (June 27th) and located two people deceased at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit has conducted a scene examination and the road reopened about midday today (June 28).

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Three ambulances and one helicopter were sent to the scene just before 10pm last night.

Medical crews assessed and treated one patient in a moderate condition, and four patients in a minor condition; all were transported to Lakes District hospital by road.
