Kim Dotcom seeks staff for sprawling Queenstown home

Tech giant Kim Dotcom is putting out feelers for staff to work in his Queenstown home, with Mercedes cars, free accommodation and immigration help offered up as part of the deal.

In a X (formerly twitter) post yesterday advertising seven different roles, he says they may just be “the best job you’ve ever had”, promoting New Zealand as a place safe from “increasing global turmoil”.

He promises to personally read every application that comes through and, if successful, staff will be appreciated and rewarded better than anywhere else

He’s firstly looking for close protection security staff, after people with ten years counter surveillance experience, an advanced driving certificate and no criminal record.

The security roles are only available to those not from a 'Five Eyes' country, so anyone from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States or the United Kingdom need not apply.

The job advertisement post on social media including a photo of the Dotcom's Queenstown residence (X/Twitter).

Dotcom reveals his plan to start streaming on the X site, once ‘Elon’ launches it, and is in need of a “live streaming producer” to make it happen.

“I’m looking for a tech genius with editing and streaming experience who can help me provide high quality streams to my audience. All the state-of-the art gear has already been purchased."

There’s also a personal assistant role, which he describes as “a demanding 24-hour on-call job with excellent pay”, dealing with contractors, staff, family and emergencies, and he’s after someone with five years’ experience, and good references.

For the kitchen, he's asking for a personal chef, who can take the food grown in the Dotcom’s vegetable garden and heated grow house and turn it into “healthy and tasty meals”.

And to help with the house, he's needing housekeeping staff, a nanny and a gardener – and he wants all to be experienced and have good references.

In the post, he says the family is after friendly, honest and hardworking people.
