John Glover to contest Arrowtown/Kawarau by-election
Statement from John Glover:
Long time local John Glover has announced he will contest the by-election arising from the recently announced resignation of QLDC Councillor Neeta Shetty.
Glover previously stood unsuccessfully in 2013 and 2019. In recent years he has devoted a large amount of time to working across community organisations to effect positive change within the district. He resides mid-week at Frankton Flats with a home office from where the ranges surrounding the Kawarau ward form a ‘stunning backdrop”.
“The decision not to stand in last years’ election was a difficult one, but the right one at the time” says John, who adds “six months later, a new opportunity has arisen, one which I’m not going to pass by”.
