Missing woman last seen in Cromwell

Police are asking for help to locate a missing woman last seen in Cromwell yesterday (Monday, November 20).

In a statement this morning police say the woman, who they call Colleen, was believed to be driving from Dunedin to Queenstown and was last known to be in the Cromwell area around 12.30pm.

She was driving a bronze-red 2008 Toyota Blade with registration HTP389.

Police say she is unfamiliar with the area and there are concerns for her safety.

Anyone who has seen her or can assist police in locating her are asked to call 111 and quote file number P056794726.

A Facebook post by a friend of the family identifies the missing woman by a different name - Rhonda - and says she was heading from Mosgiel to Queenstown Airport yesterday to pick up her grandson.

"She never arrived to pick him up and (neither) her nor her car have been seen since."
