Dunedin armed offenders squad in Ettrick drug arrest

A 44-year-old man is before the courts following a search warrant in Ettrick this morning.

At around 7.05am, Alexandra Police executed a search warrant at an Ettrick address with assistance from the Dunedin Armed Offenders Squad.

The search resulted in Police locating cannabis and methamphetamine and a number of drug paraphernalia and utensils. A firearm and some ammunition were also located.

The man was taken into custody at the property.

The 44-year-old is due to appear in Queenstown District Court tomorrow facing multiple charges.

Police are not ruling out further charges at this time.
