Child seriously injured in Ladies Mile incident
Emergency vehicles and a rescue helicopter attended an incident on Queenstown's Ladies Mile last night in which a child is reported to be seriously injured after falling out of a window.
The incident happened just after 9.00 pm at a private residential property on the western side of Ladies Mile.
St John ambulance say that a first response unit, ambulance, rapid response vehicle and helicopter were all involved.
"Our ambulance officers treated one patient in a serious condition and transported them by road to Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown."
Police issued a brief statement:
"Police were called to assist Ambulance/FENZ at 9pm last night 4 January, where it was reported that a child fell from a window."
"The child was taken to the emergency department at Lakes District Hospital."
