Body found in search for missing Queenstown woman
A body has been found in the search for a missing Queenstown woman.
Suzanne (Suzi) Frew vanished on Monday morning, when she was last seen driving along Frankton Road.
Police have now recovered a body on forested reserve land off Highview Terrace, where her car was found parked yesterday afternoon.
While formal identification is yet to be completed, police think it is the missing woman.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner.
"Our thoughts are with her whanau and friends at this difficult time," a police spokesperson says.
Police have thanked search and rescue volunteers and members of the public that assisted with the search.
In a statement on Monday, police said they had concerns for Ms Frew's welfare, as did family members.
Police had been appealing for help to locate the Queenstown local, asking residents of the area to check backyard buildings in case she had sought shelter in them.
They had also asked for any private CCTV footage captured on Highview Terrace or surrounding streets.
