by Peter Newport - Mar 30, 2020

The Ministry of Health says that there have been 76 new cases overnight bringing the national total to 589.

The majority of cases have been attributed to either overseas travel or close contact with those who have been overseas.

Just 2% have been classified as community transmission cases.

Police Commissioner Mike Bush says there have been over 4,000 complaints by the public about others who are not complying with the stay at home requirements.

Over 90 New Zealanders have returned from overseas with symptoms over the past 24 hours and have been placed in quarantine.

Two members of the police force have been diagnosed with Covid-19.

Crux will post the full MOH briefing details later this afternoon.
