Young performers take to the sky to entertain in Wānaka
A troupe of young performers showed off their aerial silks and circus skills with an outdoor show in Wānaka last week.
As part of the Wānaka Festival of Colour's community theatre day, 17 young people from the Silk and Circus school in Frankton in Queenstown took to the sky to entertain passers-by on Wānaka's lakefront.
They hung from silks and trapezes, performing aerial manoeuvres inspired by the four seasons.
Silk and Circus founder Lara Laverdure says the show was popular and a chance for her talented charges to show their stuff to a wider audience.
