Voting begins for May's Photo of the Day

by Kim Bowden - May 23, 2022

Crux's Photo of the Day gallery is full as voting begins to decide which image will be the audience favourite for May.

Shane Woonton's shot taken from under the Brewster Glacier. See this, and other top shots from our May gallery, here.

Last month, Tracey Morrow's Tarras Road finished in the top slot, receiving more than 170 votes from Crux readers.

Ms Morrow has received a free upsized print of her image, courtesy of the the Wānaka Camera Shop, one of the competition sponsors.

Tarras Road will also be in contention to be selected as an overall winner, going head-to-head with the winning images from May and June.

The winning photographer over three months will receive a Canon prize package including a Canon M50 Mk II camera, two lenses and a Canon camera case.

From the first of the month to the 20th, the Crux team have uploaded a photo a day to the Crux website.

And there's been plenty of impressive entries to choose from.

This month, there's a shot taken from underneath a glacier, another from a hot air balloon. There's a shot of a group of mates in a backyard, a niece in a pile of fallen leaves, and a dad in a mai-mai. There's photos taken on work commutes, morning walks, and weekend tramps.

It's been a tough gig choosing just 20 finalists, but it will be tougher still selecting one winner for the month - so, we've decided to delegate that task to our audience.

Head to the Crux Photo of the Day page to see all this month's images, and vote for your favourite.
