Exam success for young Queenstown performers
Lakes Theatre Arts students have continued their 100 percent pass rate in their dance and drama exams, with almost half of students achieving 90 percent or more.
Students aged 4 to 17 were examined across five different dance styles including tap, ballet, jazz, drama, musical theatre and hip-hop.
“I’m exceptionally proud of all our students and their hard work,” says studio director Leoni Sullivan. “For many students this was their first experience of live in-person exams as we’ve been doing them remotely for the last two years.”
Kim Banks’ six-year-old daughter took her exams in ballet, tap and jazz, achieving a perfect score in her jazz exam.
“We’re very happy and very proud,” she says.
