Ray White Wānaka needs help to spread Christmas cheer
The Christmas tree is up at Ray White's in Wānaka and the team is inviting locals to come in and get in the festive spirit.
The real estate company's annual charity drive, A Little Ray of Giving, is back this festive season.
It's teamed up with Community Networks Wānaka to help individuals and families who may need some extra support and care during an extremely busy, and often stressful, time of year.
Ray White Wānaka co-owner and auctioneer Duncan Good says he looks forward to the charity drive each year.
“It’s such a good chance to connect with people in our area on a deeper level and to make a positive impact.”
People can drop off donations of non-perishable food items and other household essentials at the Ray White office at 1 Helwick Street until December 16.
The donations can be left under the Christmas tree, and they'll be securely stored on the premises before they're collected by Community Networks Wānaka for distribution.
Ray White Wānaka co-owner Kelly Good says the past few years have been a really difficult time for a lot of families in New Zealand, Central Otago included.
"The holiday period can be a pretty emotionally charged time, so it’s important to us to make an effort to help out people who might be struggling after facing serious challenges and setbacks. We’re very lucky that Community Networks Wānaka is allowing us to partner with them again this year.”
