More Raglan Covid cases discovered
PM Jacinda Ardern says there are more Covid-19 cases in Raglan, with household members of a case confirmed overnight.
Yesterday, Raglan, Te Kauwhata, Huntly, Ngāruawāhia and Hamilton city moved to alert level 3 at midnight after two community cases were confirmed in the area.
Ardern says preliminary genome testing has linked the Hamilton case to the Auckland outbreak.
She says these places will stay at the higher alert level for at least five days.
McDonald's Taupiri, BP Raglan, SuperValue Raglan on Bow Street and Aroha Sushi Raglan were listed last night as the first locations of interest.
Later today, Auckland will hear the government's decision on alert levels for the region this afternoon.
