Several people injured, one critical, in SH 94 crash
Emergency services are responding to reports of a serious crash and multiple casualties on State Highway 94 near Deer Flat, between Milford and Te Anau.
The crash was reported to Police at 11.55am.
Initial Information from the scene is that a van has rolled and several people have been injured.
St John confirmed two people were transported to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter – one with critical injuries and one with serious injuries.
A Police spokesperson said about six other people were taken to a medical centre in Te Anau with minor to moderate injuries.
State Highway 94 was closed from Knobs Flat to Deer Flat for about two hours, before one land was reopened about 3pm.
