Serious medical event closes Cromwell College

Students and parents have been asked to stay away from Cromwell College this morning as the result of a serious medical event.

In a message to parents the school advises of a delayed start to the school day due to "a serious medical event with a member of the public on the verge of the school grounds."

The message says that a number of emergency service vehicles attended the college and thanks students for "being respectful and considerate of the situation."

In a statement issued to Crux police have said that a person experienced a medical event and is being airlifted to hospital.

Cromwell College is expected to open at around 10.00 am this morning (February 28).
