Serious injury in SH6 Kawarau Bridge crash - road closed

Emergency services are responding to a car crash near the Kawarau River Bridge on SH6 near Queenstown - next to the bungy bridge in Gibbston.

One person is believed seriously injured and another minor-to-moderate.

The highway is currently closed while emergency services are at the scene, however is not expected to be closed for an extended period of time.

However, motorists are advised to expect delays in the area, obviously increased people around due to the marathon in town.

At least two vehicles are involved and the road is blocked both directions.
