Husband charged in Hāwea murder case

The husband of Karen White has been charged in Queenstown's District Court with her murder.
Robert White, fisherman, of Waimatua in Southland (above right - with Karen left) aged 61, entered a not guilty plea today to the murder of Karen White in Lake Hāwea on March 8, 2024.
The court confirmed to Crux that the next court date for Mr White is 4th March in the Invercargill High Court.
