Crash closes one lane of highway at Roaring Meg
Update: The road is now clear and open as usual
Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on State Highway 6 that has closed one lane to traffic.
The incident occurred near the Roaring Meg Power Station, less than 15 minutes drive from Cromwell.
The New Zealand Transport Agency is advising the usually two lane highway is down to one lane.
Stop-go traffic management is in place to allow motorists to continue to travel through the gorge.
"Road users are advised to take extra care and expect possible delays," NZTA says in a statement.
The highway connects Queenstown and Cromwell and is a busy route for commuters and tourists.
