Rainbow Run kicks off Summerdaze
The Night 'n Day Rainbow Run will launch the Summerdaze series in Queenstown at Frankton Reserve on Saturday, November 26, at 11.30am.
What better way to say goodbye to Covid and hello to summer than a five-kilometre fun run while being colour bombed by five different coloured corn starch stations.
The Rainbow Run is a great chance for friends, family and flatmates to get together, dress up and have a blast.
Organisers would like to thank their partner groups that have come together to make this fun community event happen. The colour stations are sponsored by Queenstown Lakes District Council, Ray White Real Estate, Jennian Homes, Forsyth Barr and Health 2000.
Representatives from these organisations will all be on hand to bomb runners with colour as they run or walk the picturesque Frankton Reserve course.
The course includes a traverse over the historic Kawarau Falls Heritage Bridge and follows under the new road bridge.
The local fire brigade will be on hand to douse participants near the start of the run, before the five colour stations.
Night 'n Day will be selling ice creams for a gold coin donation, and local organisations will have cold drinks and food available.
Sport Central and QLDC staff will have inflatables, zorbs, hunger ball, and other play equipment available, along with music for good vibes, so bring along friends and family to hang out, picnic, relax and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere.
Night 'n Day Rainbow Run tickets cost $10 per person or $30 for a family of four. Tickets can be purchased online here or purchased on the day (cash sales only).
All profits go to Sporting Chance, supporting children into sport.
See you out there!
