Colourful new mural for Queenstown Events Centre
Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) is creating a mural on an external wall of Queenstown Events Centre and looking for expressions of interest from artists.
About the expression of interest
QLDC's Sport & Recreation team plans to create a mural on an external wall of Queenstown Events Centre, facing the outdoor café seating area and Sir John Davies Oval. They are looking for expressions of interest from artists who are open to involving the community in this project.
The Sport & Recreation team is looking for a mural with themes of sports, colour, fun and summer.
Due to the environmental exposure of this site, they anticipate this to be a three-yearly activity.
Dimensions of site
The external wall's dimensions are:
Base: approximately 11 metres
Height (left side): approximately 4.5 metres
Height (right side): approximately 3.8 metres
Inside edge depth (right side of the wall): approximately 0.7 metres
