Community board continues 'share with us' sessions
The Wānaka Upper Clutha Community Board wants to hear from its residents.
Its elected members are asking locals to “Share with Us” as part of its ongoing community engagement series.
Community board chair Simon Telfer says anyone is welcome to bring forth ideas, feedback and concerns.
The first event, complete with a sausage sizzle, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21 at McMurdo Park in Albert Town from 3pm to 5pm.
Queenstown Lakes District councillors are also expected to be in attendance.
The event is in collaboration with council’s “Summer Daze” series and will have games and activities for children.
"We hope to see a lively gathering of locals for an afternoon of conversation, food, and fun," Mr Telfer says.
After this month's event, the series will continue on a bi-monthly basis, with catch-ups scheduled for March 6, May 1, July 3, September 4 and November 6.
Future sessions will be held at Paetara Aspiring Central, the council's new community hub located in the former Mitre 10 building on Plantation Road.
Mr Telfer says event details and times will be available on the Queenstown Lakes District Council Facebook page and website.
