1106 Covid cases - increase rate is down - April 6

There's increasing comfort from the Ministry of Health in the levelling off of new Covid-19 cases.

The rate of increase to today is 67 new cases, bringing the total to 1106.

There have been no new deaths and 176 people have recovered.

One person is in Intensive Care in a critical condition - down from two people in a critical condition yesterday.

43 per cent total cases are connected to overseas travel

38 per cent are close contacts of those cases

2 per cent as community transmission

The rest are under investigation
